Vincenzo Di Palermo is born 21 February 1909 in Manhattan, the son of Giuseppe Di Palermo, age 42 (b. 1866), and Apilonia Scalie Di Palermo, age 35 (b. 1873), both born in Italy.[5]
In 1914, Francesco di Palermo emigrates with the mafioso Jack Dragna. Francesco meets his uncle Giuseppe di Palermo at 212 E. 97th St. in New York City. Despite his youth (Francesco is 22), he is married to the sister of Michaelangelo Gennaro, who will be the boss of the Mafia in Corleone in 1920.
